WHY SKILLS PROJECT UGANDA

In April 2009, Skills Project Uganda (www.skPUganda.com) started to offer skill development courses to community members. These intensive three-month classes provide training in Computer, tailoring, knitting, enrolling vulnerable street children into schools and embroidery as well as catering and hospitality. The trainings create entrepreneurs with a very practical and business centered approach. The students are first trained in a practical skill of their choosing, then provided business classes, AND finally are offered the opportunity to start their own enterprise utilizing their new capabilities!
